Tripadvisor performs checks on our guide greeted us very enthusiastically at our resort and picked us up for a really cool drive in the US jeeps that date all the way back to 1965 still working real well!. First stop was the pepper farm which we got to see different fruit trees and try their local pepper. Got to also try some of their fruits that were in season rambutans. Next up, brought us to see the coastline that demarcates vietnam frm cambodia 4KM swim across if anyone’s keen. Lastly went to starfish beach, sadlyno starfishes as it was the wrong season. Best season to visit would be December to March. Thats when water is the clearest and cleanest and you would be able to see starfishes in the water. Had a really good seafood lunch think crab meat fried rice, prawns cooked with crispy garlic and oil and scallops with their spring onions, oil and fish sauce with chilli. Ended the tour with visiting one of the local fish sauce farms. Thong was also very lovely, buying us an entire bag of rambutans that were in season. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to tour the island in an unusual way. Tip of advice - slap on lots of sunblock. We turned two shades darker by the end of the 7 hour of 2. Our guide picked us from our hotel, and spoke fantastic English as well as speaking decent Spanish to my partner!. From the hotel, we drove to the south of Phu Quoc and boarded the cable cars for the island. Our guide Mr T very kindly minded our belongings while we explored the island, and made us feel like we were able to do whatever we wanted which was very the water park, we went to the beach where the guide took us out on a speedboat. Again, we were very much left to decide what we wanted to do, so we did a combination of snorkelling where our guide took us to some of the best spots, and showed where we'd see the most wildlife in those spots! and then took us to a more secluded beach afterwards for us to swim further. Overall, this was a great experience. The guide was fantastic and a great combination of letting us decide what to do, while also giving us options and explaining where we were in great detail. Everything was prompt and explained clearly and they did everything with a high level of professionalism. I have visited lots of snorkelling tours and this by far the best run. I loved how they taught beginners how to use the snorkel properly,. They then took us to spots that were teeming with healthy corals and fish. What I enjoyed most was how CJ and Windy guided us. Often when snorkelling you can find yourself wondering off into places where you're unsure if you should be there or not.
